Aldi Shopping List + 3 helpful tips for grocery shopping

If you follow my stories, then you know Saturdays mean Aldi day.

  • One thing that I do to stay organized is to always have a running grocery list for Aldi specifically.  I leave it on the counter and add to it as soon as I run out of something.
  • Another helpful trick is to write your list in the way that you walk around the store.  For me that means: Fruit & veg, dry goods, meats & dairy, then frozen.  This really helps me to not forget anything and keeps me on track.
  • One other thing we do to stay within a certain budget is to have a debit account only for grocery shopping.  We put $150 in it every week and that's what I have for Aldi.  Occasionally I'll go over, and then I just pay cash or use another card.  It really helps though to know that there isn't hundreds of dollars available.  In addition we shop at Sam's & Costco.  This is where we purchase most of our meat, jelly, peanut butter, eggs, toilet paper & paper towels, chips, and coffee.  I'm not entirely sure how much we spend at those stores as my husband usually does that shopping.

Here is a typical shopping list for Aldi.  I don't purchase every single item each week, but you get the picture.
